The Holidays are full of Christmas cheer and of course all the yummy desserts.  Our fitness guru Jada Kelly is here with a great tip to avoid all those Holiday treats.

During holiday season it is so easy to get sucked into all the Holiday treats that are at your job or around the house or at family and friend get-togethers.  Everyone seems to have candy or chocolate or dessert lying around.  So, what do you do in these scenarios?

Pick Your Favorite Holiday Treat

To solve this dilemma, I pick and choose what I really want from the selection of goodies.  Before even arriving to an event or party, I’ll think about what I’m going to allow myself to have.  I decide what the most important treats are to me, or what my favorite food item is and then I’ll only allow myself to have just that one item.

For example, with Christmas our family always gets together, and we have a huge meal.  Before we even attend, I know what dessert I’m bringing and what other foods my family will be bringing.  Then I will specifically choose that one special thing and indulge there.  Then I walk away or close my eyes and don’t allow myself to indulge in every other single item on the table.

Hopefully this is a practical tip for you to implement over the Holiday season.  Choose what you want beforehand and let everything else go.    This allows you to stay on track during the Holidays without consuming ALL the calories, adding on those extra Holiday pounds, and feeling guilty.

Happy Holidays!
