Feeling fatigued while you’re working out?  Team myHMB athlete Mike ‘Kujo’ Kurzeja shares 3 simple ways to improve your gym performance.

1. Get Rest

One of the best ways to improve your gym performance is to go into a gym session well rested. Over training is common and leads to muscle loss, fatigue and possible adrenal fatigue. Classic overtraining can almost always be contributed to lack of sleep and recovery.  Be sure to get a solid 6-8 hours of sleep each night to allow your body to recover in time for your next workout session.

2. Supplement Recovery

Taking the proper dose of myHMB prior to your work out and following your work out can also help in your performance. MyHMB is a muscle health ingredient produced naturally in our bodies when the BCAA leucine is metabolized.  Supplementing with myHMB boosts muscle protein synthesis while reducing protein breakdown allowing you to reduce muscle damage and recover faster.  Learn more about myHMB here.

3. Boost Energy

Caffeine is a stimulant which has also been found to help athletic performance. Studies have shown that a single dose of caffeine can significantly improve exercise performance by increasing endurance and focus[1].  Using a proper amount of caffeine can be helpful, but be careful not to overuse caffeine.
