TSI Group has achieved regulatory approval for its sports nutrition product myHMB® in South Korea. TSI Group’s myHMB®, exclusively distributed by Jupiter International, is excited to make waves in the sports nutrition market for South Korea’s aging population.

myHMB® is designed to improve muscle health and enhance training performance by delivering HMB, scientifically known as β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate to the body. HMB is a downstream metabolite of the essential amino acid leucine.  It works by increasing muscle protein synthesis while simultaneously decreasing muscle protein breakdown.

“With Korea’s sports nutrition market still in its infancy, TSI Group understands the importance of educating and engaging consumers about the unique benefits of myHMB®.” states Larry Kolb, President of TSI Group.

While sports nutrition in South Korea has traditionally focused on refueling and rehydration, it is evolving with scientific advancements. Snack products, cheese, yogurt, and meat snacks are gaining popularity, promoted for their performance-enhancing and post-exercise recovery properties.

“Korea’s trending interest in sports nutrition makes this the right time to introduce consumers to the many benefits of myHMB® as a functional ingredient,” Kolb shares.

“Together with our distributor Jupiter International, we will work on creating and promoting educational content that highlights the scientifically-backed benefits in enhancing exercise performance, improving muscle health, and supporting active lifestyles.”
